Learning and Skills VCS Network meeting

The eighth meeting of the Learning and Skills VCS Network, which will cover cutting edge issues in learning and skills.

This meeting cover:

  • Third Sector National Learning Alliance - John Harris takes us through the new FE Guild and how it plans to engage with voluntary and community sector learning providers
  • Open College Network in Yorkshire & Humber - Guy Farrar explains the remit of the Regional Policy and Practice Committee Third Sector stakeholder group and what it hopes to achieve
  • Swarthmore Education Centre - Maggi Butterworth examines the impact of recent changes in the learning and skills landscape on her capacity to lead one of the longest standing voluntary sector educational establishments
  • Partnerships with FE Colleges, local authorities and other voluntary organisations - Speakers Janine Ingle of Chevin Housing, and Chris Hooper of Kirklees College examine the role of the FE/VCS partnerships they work with and how they create value for students, colleges, and voluntary organisations. 
  • Developments and issues within the learning and skills voluntary sector

There will be an opportunity to network from 1.30. Lunch will not be provided, however, there is a cafe in Swarthmore next to the room or you are welcome to bring your own lunch.
