The voluntary sector: a guided tour

Thursday 15  March 2012 (10.15–12.30)
Northern Ballet, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7PA

The voluntary sector: a guided tour is part of the Landscape series run by Involve Yorkshire & Humber.

From providing more services to running the local library to getting people involved in decision-making - the Government wants the voluntary sector to play a bigger role.  Charities, the private sector and public agencies are frequnetly urged to work together. And the private and public sectors often need to make better links with their local community or to find partners for service delivery.

But it can be difficult to understand...

  • what the voluntary and community sector is

  • why it matters

  • how it works

  • what’s going on

  • what are the big issues?

  • and who does what?

This session will answer these questions, in the context of Yorkshire and Humber.  Book now.
