Involve Yorkshire & Humber will continue to use its voice on behalf of the voluntary and community sector to seek to influence and inform goverment on the huge changes sweeping through health and social care
We are a member of Regional Voices, which Minister for Care Services Paul Burstow has confirmed will continue to be
a Strategic Partner of the Department of Health for a fourth consecutive year in 2012-13.
We will feed intelligence gathered in the region, along with that from our sister organisations in the other eight English regions, to continue to influence thinking in the Department of Health.
Judy Robinson, Chief Executive of Involve Yorkshire & Humber, said:
"We're delighted that the Department of Health is supporting this work. The Health and Social Care Bill is bringing about fundamental change. This announcement shows that the Minister understands how vital the voluntary and community sector is to the reforms. The critical time to engage with the emerging structures is now."
The Strategic Partners programme directly funds twenty five national charities. It was launched in April 2009 to improve communication and dialogue between the Department and voluntary sector health and social care organisations across England. Regional Voices is the antional forum of regional voluntary and community sector networks in England.
