Yorkshire & the Humber Volunteering Network

EVDC Yorkshire & the Humber

Involve Yorkshire & Humber acts as secretariat for the Volunteering Network Yorkshire & the Humber in partnership with Volunteering England.

The Network brings together people from different sectors and projects involved in volunteering. It promotes the value of volunteering in Yorkshire and the Humber, co-ordinates activities, contributes a Yorkshire and Humber perspective to Volunteering England’s national policy work and to the England Volunteering Development Council (EVDC).

The Network is made up of people from local support and development organisations, local authorities, volunteer centres, other voluntary sector organisations, universities, and a range of key agencies.

We have produced a report on 'Young people, volunteering and worklessness' in Yorkshire and Humber showing some excellent projects in the region. Our current focus is on the Olympics and the European Year of Volunteering (2011).

The Network publishes an e mail bulletin - contact Sarah if you would like to receive it directly.
