making effective links

At involve Yorkshire & Humber we…

  • ensure rural voluntary and community organisations are supported in their vital work in isolated communities, through the Rural Network.

  • bring together key players in all sectors through the Yorkshire and Humber Volunteering Network

  • produce case studies with voluntary organisations, neighbourhood community groups and active citizens, that give practical examples of how to involve people in local decision-making and delivery of public services.

  • work through VEHRN (our Voluntary Sector Equality and Human Rights Network) with communities of interest such as Gypsies and Travellers, whose activity crosses geographical boundaries, to help make services accessible to all.

  • co-ordinate organisations working on health and wellbeing through our Health Network, for example running a consultation on the white paper Liberating the NHS.
