Claire Turner

Claire heads up the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s Ageing Society Research. JRF’s work in this area is focused on responding positively to the opportunities and challenges of an ageing society and on what an ageing society means for all of us – individuals, communities and the state. Prior to joining the JRF, Claire worked as a freelance social researcher and for a private sector regeneration consultancy firm where she focused on family and community issues. Before this she held a number of research and policy roles within Barnardo’s Policy and Research Unit. Given Claire’s background, she is particularly interested in the impact of an ageing society across generations.
