Create Foundation

Prime Minister's Big Society Award, December 2010

In December 2010, the Create Foundation, based in Leeds, became the second winner, in the whole of the UK, of the Prime Minister’s Big Society Award.

Create is a social enterprise committed to developing innovative training and employment opportunities for people who have been homeless, marginalised or vulnerable.

Running businesses as diverse as outside catering, cafés and retail Create offers people a real workplace to develop their skills, getting a foot back on the ladder of making a meaningful contribution to society.
