Learning and Skills VCS Network 'Technology Beacon' Training

Shipley College, Victoria Road, Saltaire, West Yorkshire, BD18 3LQ

1.00-4.00, Wednesday 25 April & Wednesday 23 May 2012

Ten people will become ‘Technology Beacons’ for the Involve Yorkshire & Humber's Learning and Skills VCS Network Virtual Network project.

These are valuable, free training opportunities with free equipment that will assist your organisation to develop virtual forms of collective communication.

Involve Y&H is running this partnership project with Shipley College to convert the physical meetings of the LSVN to virtual ones – but it’s essential that in doing this we take all our members with us.

There are two training days for ten volunteers to be Technology Beacons – basically these people need to have a basic grasp of IT and be willing to learn. Tara Phelan, leading the training, is an experienced trainer at Shipley College who has developed ways of doing this and would like to train LSVN members.
