Adult Learner' Week 2010 awards

Adult Learners' Week 2011

Involve Yorkshire and Humber has the regional co-ordination role for Adult Learners' Week, the national campaign to promote adult learning. 2011 is the twentieth year of this high profile campaign, which involves voluntary and community groups, libraries, colleges and employers in running events that demonstrate to adults the value of learning as a force for change in their lives.

A national competition, with Yorkshire and Humber nominations and winners takes place in the run-up to the week, ending in a prestigious celebratory event, this year being held at the Rose Bowl, Leeds Metropolitan University. Ian Macmillan will be bringing his own brand of Yorkshire humour to the job of host for the evening. Adult Learners' Week 20th year logo

Adult Learners' Week is a great way for the VCS to recognise its role as educator and source of encouragement and motivation for many adult learners.
