Bill started work for Superdrug Stores plc as a warehouse operative. In 2009 Bill completed the Warehouse and Storage NVQ Level 2, and later the same year appeared in a company DVD promoting the Superdrug Apprenticeship programme. 
In 2010, Bill asked if he could do a Team Leading Level 2 qualification, and according to his nominator 'with determination and hard work he has achieved a position in the company which he considered to be beyond him.' Bill has now been promoted to being responsible for co-managing Superdrug’s website operation.
Bill says: 'These courses have allowed me to stretch myself and improve my knowledge in the workplace. My confidence is growing every day.'

Adult Learners' Week Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the life-changing learning done by people in communities all over Yorkshire and Humber, and the central role of the voluntary and community sector in supporting learning.
